Everything you need to know before taking the first step.
Getting Started
Somatic healing is a body-based approach to wellbeing — one that recognizes the body as far more than a vessel for the mind. The word "somatic" comes from the Greek soma, meaning body. Unlike purely talk-based therapy, somatic work begins with what the body is actually doing: the tension in the shoulders, the breath that catches, the places where sensation lives or goes quiet.
The body holds unprocessed experience. Stress, grief, past trauma, and emotional patterns don't simply live in memory — they settle into tissue, posture, and the nervous system. Somatic practices create conditions for the body to release what it has been carrying, restoring a felt sense of groundedness and inner spaciousness. Everything at KoldSpace is trauma-informed, safe, and grounded in deep respect for your pace.
KoldSpace is open to anyone curious about body-based practices — no prior experience is required. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, the aftermath of trauma, creative blocks, or simply want to feel more at home in your own body, there is a place for you here.
Kayur works with people at all stages: those who have never set foot on a yoga mat, seasoned movers looking for depth, and everyone in between. The only genuine prerequisite is willingness to show up and explore.
That is exactly what the free discovery call is for. Kayur takes time to have a real conversation with you — understanding where you are, what you are carrying, and what you are hoping for — before recommending any specific practice or package. There is no pressure and no sales pitch. Just an honest conversation about what might serve you best right now.
Absolutely not. All practices at KoldSpace begin exactly where you are. Kayur meets you — your body, your history, your comfort level — and builds from there. The invitation is not to perform or achieve; it is to arrive and be present. Curiosity is the only thing you need to bring.
Sessions & Booking
You can book directly through the booking page here, or reach out through the contact form and Kayur will get back to you personally within 48 hours to set something up.
Session length varies by service. Private therapeutic yoga and integrative coaching sessions are typically 60–90 minutes. EnKayDance training sessions run 60–75 minutes. The free discovery call is 20 minutes. Kayur will confirm the exact duration when you book, based on your goals and what feels right.
Yes. Coaching sessions are virtual by default and available to clients worldwide across all time zones. Yoga and dance sessions can also be done virtually depending on your space — a clear floor area and enough room to move freely is all you need. In-person sessions are offered in Austin, TX only.
Yes! Gifting a session is a beautiful gesture. Visit the booking page to arrange a gift session, or reach out through the contact form and Kayur will help make it happen.
Pricing & Cancellation
Pricing is discussed during the free discovery call, as it varies based on service type, session frequency, and package. What does not vary: the discovery call itself is always free, always no-commitment, and always a genuine conversation — not a pitch. Book yours here.
24-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee. That said — life happens, and Kayur understands that. If something unexpected comes up, reach out directly and he will do his best to work with you.
Yes. Many clients choose to work with Kayur on an ongoing basis — weekly, biweekly, or as life calls for it. Package options (including 4-session and longer-term containers) are discussed during the consultation, once there is clarity about what kind of support would genuinely serve you.
What to Expect
Every first session begins with a brief check-in — where you are that day, what you are carrying, and what you are hoping for. There is no rush to get anywhere. From there, Kayur gently guides you into practice, always at a pace that feels safe. Nothing is forced. The session unfolds around you, not around a fixed agenda.
KoldSpace offerings — therapeutic yoga, EnKayDance, and integrative coaching — are somatic healing and coaching practices, not licensed psychotherapy. They are deeply powerful in their own right and they complement clinical mental health treatment. They do not replace it. If you are currently working with a therapist or mental health professional, Kayur is happy to work alongside that support.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in freely. Bring water. Bring an open mind. Nothing else is required. You don't need a yoga mat, special equipment, or any particular level of fitness. Just yourself, as you are.
There is no set number. Some people feel significant shifts after a single session — a loosening, a clarity, a release they didn't expect. Deeper and more sustained transformation typically unfolds over time, as the work layers and builds. Kayur will share his honest read during the discovery call, based on what you bring to the conversation.
Privacy & Safety
Yes. All sessions are held in strict confidence. KoldSpace is a judgment-free, trauma-informed space. What you bring to a session stays there. Kayur's commitment to your privacy and safety is not an afterthought — it is foundational to the work.
It means nothing is forced. In every session, you have full choice and agency in what you explore and how far you go. Kayur reads the room, slows down when needed, and never pushes past your edge. Practices are introduced with care, explained before they are offered, and never imposed. The goal is always safety and consent — so that the body can genuinely begin to trust and open, rather than brace and perform.
